I'm very new to the Wavosaur community,
and any other audio software for that matter..
anyways

i've been messing with Gsnap

all i've been doing is configuring the "fixed" thing..

still i've been wondering what the MIDI thing is.
isn't it where you can like control the key the voice is going to??
if that doesnt' make sense, ignore please haha..

anyways, the manual wasn't clear about the whole midi deal..
is it where you get a midi file and merge it or sth
or do you need a midi instrument?-- if this is the case, can you use a vst midi instrument?

Thanks to whoever responds!!!
:DD

that's exactly what this is for. but you have to use gsnap in another program in order to use this function. what you need for this is a daw (digital audio workstation) which sequences audio and midi data, e.g. ableton live or cubase.

wavosaur is an audio editor so you can just use the fixed note thingy in gsnap.

I know I shouldn't be bringing up older threads, but I saw this exact thread on google (while searching for audio/recording programs) and I wanted to thank R.A.W. to the link to energy-xt. I'm using the trial right now and so far so good. It's pretty hard to find audio editors nowadays. . .especially ones that cooperate with USB plug-ins like microphones, headsets/headphones and instruments.

Either way, thanks for sharing this. I didn't know about it until I stumbled on this site. Thank YOU and thank google. Wink
