Hello,
Once "selection grid line" is checked, a selection should appear like this :
You can change the number of line in Options->Editor Configuration->Selection grid line number
The default is 4. |

Do I have a different (older) version? I have "Snap/Grid settings . . . Alt+L" and no mention of "Editor Configuration" in any of the selections. What position is it in? |

maybe a very old version.
The Editor configuration is in the Options menu for a long time, don't hesitate to download the last version of Wavosaur |

My error, yes, the "Editor configuration" is on the Options list. However, with "Grid Lines" selected and a number in the box, the grid lines only appear in the selection. No way to get them to appear on the whole wave? For example, to remove one complete beat from the wave. |

just select the whole file (CTRL+A or double click)
you can also use menu Tools --> Slicing/Region --> Set markers at grid line to insert markers |

And then delete everything between the markers? |

what do you want to remove/delete ?
when you use delete or cut, it removes the selection
when you double click between two marker it selects the regions between the two markers |

I want to set the markers exactly on the beats to make it easy to remove one beat. |

do you want the application to find the bpm and then add automatically markers ? this is something we are working on but is not yet implemented
if you know the number of beats and the time signature of your file it's really easy to set markers |
