Hi- do any of you who do your own mastering for personal CDs - do you use Wavosaur for this purpose - i.e: import a stereo wav file that was created on your DAW, and then "polish" it up with Wavosaur ? If so, what work-flow, effects chain are you tending to use. Any info on this topic would be appreciated, realizing that there are probably many personalized ways of doing this.

Thanks!

i use my daw (ableton live Cool for mastering.. for the simple reason that i do mid-side mastering where i route the stereo source in two tracks, one with the mid, the other with the side signal. after using almost the same effects with different settings on both signals, i route them to another stereo track where i do the finalisation.

my chain is eq (cutting lows on side signal), multi-band compressor, if necessary de-esser, tube (for warmth, only on mid).
on the final stereo track i got a mastering limiter.
