|
|
I was wondering if someone could give me some general information about actually using the image of soundwaves on a website.
Here's what I'm hoping to do:
When a visitor to my site clicks on one of my audio mp3 files, I would like an image of a box to appear on the screen inside of which the soundwave for the selected audio would be displayed in realtime as the audio plays.
I know you can watch a soundwave as you play a file in Wavosaur, but I want to have a soundwave show up on screen and begin displaying in realtime in synch with the audio from the moment that someone clicks on an mp3 link on my site.
If anyone can give me some advice on the best way to go about this sort of programming task, I'd appreciate it. (Should I use basic programming, for example, Javascript, C++?)
Thanks for any ideas!

Thanks for the response.
From what little I know about it, I think Flash would be ideal for this task.
So far, however, the only downloadable program I've found to do this appears to be a java application called Modulator Jane.

I've e-mailed the author of the application for help, though, because I'm having difficulty implementing it on my site.
Meanwhile, if anyone thinks of a better way for me to go about this, please let me know.
Thanks again.
