|
|
Hello,
I am attempting to use a VST plugin in Wavosaur, called VOPM, which emulates the YM2612 soundchip used in certain computers and video game consoles, most notably the Sega Genesis. The official website for it is http://www.geocities.jp/sam_kb/VOPM/
This plugin is 32bit (I guess) so it has only loaded up in 32bit Wavosaur.
Basically, the plugin is supposed to allow you to set parameters for an FM instrument patch, and it should also be able to load presets. However, when I tried to apply an effect to an audio track with this, I only got silence.
I am very new to using Wavosaur and I have never used a VST plugin before. I only want to use VOPM in Wavosaur to test out instrument patches for me to use in another program.
Am I doing something wrong, or does Wavosaur not support this kind of plugin? |

Hello,
We only support VST effects, not VSTi.
VOPM needs a MIDI input to produce sound.
We have not added this feature as it's not useful for an audio editor
you could use something like "cantabile 1.2"
it's freeware and can host VSTi + send MIDI note (even from the UI with a virtual keyboard)
