|
|
1)
Currently browsing for the source and destination folders is a bit tedious with the Windows default (un-resizable) folder tree browser.
(I usually already have those folders opened on my desktop, why do I have to browse there again through this awkward menu? )
The path appears as a text field, but you cannot paste text to it. How about making the path field freely editable so you can copy-paste the folder path from your Explorer window?
2)
It would be totally awesome if the Batch Processor also supported a list of files you could simply drag & drop into, then apply the batch function to those.
Save options:
- overwrite original files
- create new files with suffix
- use destination folder
3)
And maybe Batch Processor could also have an "apply function to all currently opened files" option, and then there could be a "Save All Currently Opened Files" (with "yes to all, please") command in the file menu. Why not!
--
After this, it would be very simple to drag 23 wav files to the batch processor's file list, then apply "Normalize -0.3dB" to them all, after which I could switch the function to "Auto trim at -50dB", click Start again... and be done with it. Easy as pie!
(this is the most common batch operation I need to do: normalize and crop silence)
Thank you for time. And for creating this awesome yet tiny program. :) |

Geez! 3 years and no response on an important feature that wastes so much time....
I too have problems with the Wavosaur batch and the fact you must do that tedious stuff and scroll endlessly to find the folders the files are in and once again tell the batch where the processed ones go.
Every batch you need to do it - endlessly naviagte.... huge waste and kind of undermines the purpose of saving time with the batch...
This takes forever and there is no other way - very inflexible. Pasting location would be better but ideally you need to modernize that up to the standards of 2015 and make it so you could quickly navigate straight to the folder.
Surely there is something you could code to make batch better.

Just been using batch processing for the first time and have to agree, being able to paste locations (or even have Wavosaur remember the last path used) would be a big time saver.
Also, any chance of a convert to mp3 at 320kbps option?
Really happy to see Wavosaur now supporting large files (or maybe just my laptop has more RAM than it used to to, can't remember :)) so will be using Wavosaur much more than I used to, has a really efficient workflow I miss in other editors. And the 'auto detect region' function is excellent, much simpler but works better than in other editors I've tried. |

Now in batch processing dialog box:
- Save as mp3 320kbit/s added
- The folder is memorized during browsing

Awesome, thanks a lot.
Any idea when these changes will be rolled out? |

I work a lot with the Batch Processor in Wavosaur and have a couple of minor requests:
- being able to actually edit the folder path with my keyboard (pressing the browse button and search the whole path from zero each time is crazy)
- please add Resample to 8000Hz and 11025Hz, those resolutions are quite standard when working with retro software and hardware, game audio, etc.
Thanks! |
