to be saved as seperate waves? Is this possible?

Load the stereo wav and
Process -> Convert to mono -> Left only, and save the mono left channel.
Same process for the Right channel. |

Yes you can use the convert to mono feature.
We'll probably add a channel export for speeding up this kind of operations |

Another way:
Ctrl+A Select all your sample
1 ou 2 Select your channel (L or R or other for multichannel)
Ctrl+C Copy the selected channel
Edit->Other paste->Paste in new file
