I have a 4 channel WAV file (made from a Zoom H2 Quad recording of 2 stereo files merged in WaveWizard) that is about 20 minutes long. Wavosaur grinds on it for a while then returns with a window that goes from 0:00:00 to 0:00:00 and nothing comes out. I have read the Wavosaur won't handle big files and sort of assumed that "big" meant bigger than would fit into a CD. I have tried the same procedure on a few minute file and it works OK (I use H2-zoo to make a 5.1 file)
So my question now is just how big a file can Wavosaur open?
I was hoping to use it for files a couple of minutes over an hour long.
Wavosaur version 1.0.6.0, running on a 3.4 GHz Pentium 4 with 3 GB of RAM.
(I am recording meetings in quad sound and wanted to use surround sound to determine who the speaker is.) |
