Wavosaur

I have previously used wavosaur to record audio and it worked fined. But now when I do it sounds really loud and distorted. I tried to reset the audio configurations but it still sounds distorted.

The audio I'm recording sounds normal, but the vu meter always shows it playing at a really high level and when I finish recording it sounds distorted.
