Hi there,
I recently started a list of some little features/improvements I miss in Wavosaur. This soft is amazing, but I still use audacity for some tasks and if those things I ask for will be implemented some day, Wavosaur would be my editor to go. Wink

1.) all zoom functions available in the right-click context menu

2.) a "Zoom out full" button and context-entry

3.) additional keyboard shortcuts for zoom selection (e.g. ctrl+e) and zoom out full (e.g. ctrl+f)

4.) a "Snap to zero" option for selection start and end, perhaps with an additional option to automatically turn it off on high zoom levels

5.) a button for "Show/hide grid lines" in the toolbar

6.) an option to automatically turn off gridlines on small selections

7.) docking additional windows (e.g. the output oscilloscope and the coming vu meter) to the edges of the main window and save the positions in the .ini

8.) a way to add more than 1 task to batch processing (e.g. normalize and vst chain in one run)

OK, the last one could be a bit more work, but the other small improvements could make Wavosaur even more useful than it already is! :)

Thanks for the ideas. I have several question:

1/ You know that mousewheel allows zoom in/out: what zoom function do you think?

2/a "Zoom out full" button and context-entry: could you explain me your idea?

3/ Why not!

4/ Snap to zero is in our todo list, but not available in next release

5/Why not!

6/ Why not too!

7/ Do you think vu meter is for the next release? Laughing

8/ This feature is in our todo list but needs important work and ... motivation Wink

with "zoom out full" i mean that when you zoomed in to a small part of the sample, you just use this function to zoom all the way out so you see the whole sample again in the window.

i know about the mousewheel and it's great, but i tend to use the context more.. especially "zoom selection" and "zoom out full" would be handy in the context.

about the motivation, i already donated for wavosaur as it's already really useful to me! :) and of course i spread the word whenever i can.

btw i don't expect any of these requests to be in the next release, they are just general ideas i had to improve wavosaur.
