Maybe I misunderstood this function, but shouldn't it (at -100) cut away the upper 100 dB of a file?
Shouldn't it be impossible to truncate 100 dB from a 16 bit file?
Because when I do there's still some musical bits left. If I convert to 24 bit first there's no difference.
In fact, if I truncate at -60 dB I get the same result, it seems.
So I'm guessing there's some hidden limit (perhaps around -50 dB). Unless I misunderstood how truncate is supposed to work, of course.. |
