Windows 7 x64

I tried everything to get the MP3 export working.
I copied lame_enc.dll to system32 and sysWoW64,
I tried putting the dll into the same directory as wavosaur,
I installed LAME for windows from Lame v3.99.3 for Windows.exe,
I tried putting wavosaur into the same directory as LAME
...
nothing worked, Wavosaur still complains about a missing lame_enc.dll

very frustrating

What versiion of Wavosaur are you using ?
the 32 or the 64 bit version ?

you have to choose the right lame encoder dll
for example, if you use the Wavosaur x64 , you have to use the lame encoder dll from this bundle : http://www.rarewares.org/files/mp3/lame3.99.5-64.zip

Same thing here. I've put lame_enc.dll in the Wavosaur's folder, in the Windows\System folder, and even in the folder where the original file is and where Wavosaur should save the new .mp3, and... nothing!

It tells me to check if Lame is installed.

N.B. I tried the latest Lame dll, and also the one you give in a link: same negative result.

I use Windows 8.1 Home Edition 64 bits

I was able to export files as .wav, but not as .mp3 .

PS: I just saw the post above about the 32/64 bits issue.

That could be the answer. I will try when I get home.

However, if that's the answer, the instruction to chose the right Lame dll should be put in the general instructions, not just here.

Like Here, for example.
