Is there a function for manipulating speed? I have an audio clip which the author is very very slow. I would like to make him talk 2X as fast. Is this possible?
Thank you. |

I have a recording of Korean speech and need to slow it down without changing pitch. I've been able to slow it down but it sounds like a drunken Darth Vader.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks! _________________ mwolff |

It is a recording of the 3rd chapter of the Gospel of John in Korean. The speaker is speaking very fast, even for Korean. I have some familiarity with the language, but I'm a beginner.
I need to memorize this passage and was hoping to use this recording to do that - but as I say, it's just too fast.
I played with the pitch function last night for an hour and a half and was still unable to slow it down without it sounding like a drunken Darth Vader.
I appreciate all the help I can get with this.
Many thanks,

Hello,
You need a time stretch/expand effect.
There are few VST plugins that can do that but they are cumbersome to use with Wavosaur.
A more easy way is to use a pitch shifter =>
1) Download Spectral monkeyage VST http://www.wavosaur.com/vst/pitchshift-autotune-plugins.php
2) With this VST pitch shifter you raise the pitch without changing speed, about +4 semintones
3) Then you use the native pitch function in Wavosaur, you set to -4 semintones, this will slow the sound down and return to the correct pitch. |
