The playback of 22k wav files in Wavosaur can sound different from the
playback in windows media player. Why ? |

Windows media player surely does linear interpolation. We haven't added this for the playback as Wavosaur is an editor, not a media player, we could add it as an option likein the non real time resampling features (menu->process-> resample) |

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my problem.
The playback of 22k wav files in Wavosaur sounds like the frequency
range is above 11k in the spectrum. This is a strange sound problem. |

got same issue when I edit a sample in Audition or Wavosaur (!)
and then I play in Winamp there are noises due to the compression...
maybe _________________ ...wav files and dynosaurs ! |

Each audio player has its own algo for real time resampling: linear, cubic ... interpolation. You could hear these differences when audio file sampling frequency is different to you audio output frequency.
