I was wondering of someone can give me a detailed instruction on how to convert MP3 audio files to WAV (for using in windows movie maker which only accept WAV files).
I have a bunch of MP3 files to convert so if there a way to automate it would be great

For this application you could use the batch processor:
Menu 'Tools'->'Batch processor'
A dialog box must appear.
Then choose your source directory (which contains your mp3).
Choose your destination directory: the created wav must appear here.
After that choose your function: for just a conversion, choose 'Normalize 0 dB'. It is the first in the list. It avoids clipping after mp3 extraction.
After that click 'Run' button.
The wav should appear in your destination directory.
