ok so i downloaded the program and took off the vocals only, the vocals wernt even taken off. is there a way to fix that?

hi, i just joined bc i was told that i can make a karioke version of songs on this site.. except i have noooo idea what im doing. i need the words taken off of the song "what i got" by sublime for my vocals class. any help would be greatly appreciated as i will lose 10% if i dont have the karioke version by monday.
