Congratulation, this program is cool.
I've got couple of ideas to make it more useful:
-creating a new window by dragging and dropping the selected part
-putting markers while recording
-time display for recording
-selecting the whole project by triple click
-supporting directx plugins
thx |

Hello joe, and tha,ks for the suggestion
some good idea, we are already working to add some of them
But i don't understand the "supporting directx plugins " there is also another user who wants DX support, but directX plugins should work with a VST-DX wrapper like ffx4 (free) in Wavosaur.
Are you experiencing problems with ffx4 in Wavosaur ? |

Hello Rex
Sorry, I see the topic about the VSD-DX wrapper now. I don't have any experience with ffx4 because didn't know about that. I'll try it.
Thanks a lot.

Well it's not a big thing but every important audio editor supports Direct X plugins, and yes you are correct, the wrapper works fine but in my experience less stuff to open is better.
Even if the wrapper is light and cpu usage is pretty low it's still "another" application that has to be used and an added variable to contend with.

In reality DXi is an older format that is not that stable in my experience. Tho PG Music's Power Tracks Pro, Sonar, and a few others natively support the DX format, most of the "pro" programs I have used, WaveLab, Soundforge, Sequoia, etc keep it as a "legacy" type of format for backward compatibility.
I also have a lot of DX stuff, but it really is an old format that is on it's way out IMHO....YMMV. _________________ My Music
