Hi all
I'm new here and I want to first of all express my appreciation for such a nice free tool. Well worth a donation!

I sax greyed out under effects "bpm finder".
I searched in the forum and elsewhere to find information... Why is it grey, i.e. non active?
Is it a future dream?
Do I have to pay for it?
Do my samples not fullfill the prerequisites?

It would be extremely helpful for me. I habe a sample CD where I have lost the booklet with the bpm information. Of couse can i determine bpm by calculation or approximate it in Reaper and finetune it by try and error, but thats quite a jop for hundreds of samples.

There very best would be a batch process: Find bpm, then recreate filename with bpm prefix, e.g. 123-drumloop1a.

greetings from Switzerland

Welcome here Ficeduld,

Some features are not fully tested or simply just not implemented, the BPM finder is not ready yet

i note the idea about the batch processing (renaming with the BPM value)

Hello Ficeduld,

Until Wavosaur's bpm finder is ready, you could try this workaround:
convert your samples to mp3 and use BPM Analyzer from MixMeister.

http://mixmeister.com/download_freestuff.html

It scans all mp3s in a folder (including subfolders) and determines accurately their bpm values.
It also writes these values into the mp3 tags.

And: you can either print a list like this
title - artist - bpm
Carnival of Souls - Saviour Machine - 122.00
...
or export these informations to a txt file.

It's simple and fast and I like it a lot.

Happy editing with Wavosaur bigrin
D.
