I see a fatal access violation error when trying to open ogg file.
I got vorbis.dll in right dir, but it still crashes application both with or without it. As far as i see it must be a serious bug within program itself |

Do you use the vorbis.dll file from this site or another vorbis.dll file ? |

As I told above wavosaur fails to open ogg with fatal error even if there is NO vorbis.dll with it at all. As I know it must show a massage telling me that I need such a file to open ogg files if there isn't any. However, BEFORE I see any messages I get an access violation notification/
Now afrer a few shaman actions I made it to work properly with your vorbis.dll but it still crashes when I remove it. No messages about needed files or anything but access violation.
It seems to work properly only when I put exact file from that website link you got. No other vorbis.dll including official one from xiphophorus doesn't work and causes a crash.

No it should work with all vorbis.dll file.
We will try to fix that problem of course.
But more important to fix are the crashes,
crash should not happens when the file is missing, i can't reproduce this bug, you should have this message:
EDIT: I downloaded another vorbis.dll files and experimented some crashes too (but not with all files).
When there is no vorbis.dll there is no crash.
Since we fix that problem you can use the working vorbis.dll (let the file next to the Wavosaur executable) and nothing prevents you from using other vorbis.dll for other program until we make the ogg support more "universal" |

If you still have crash when there is no file (either in Wavosaur folder or system folder) we'll be interested to know your configuration.
The crash with some vorbis.dll files have been reproduced so we can work on it. But i can't reproduce the problem when no dll is present. |
