Unless I'm wrong, the quickest way of splitting a stereo file into two separate individual mono files is:
1. copy the stereo file
2. Process > Convert to mono > Left only (original stereo file)
3. Process > Convert to mono > Right only (copy stereo file)
A single command - maybe "Process > Convert to mono > Left and Right" - would be helpful. This would be a useful Batch Process, too.
