Recently, for one of my requirement i need to add markers in a WAV file. I tried adding markers using Wavosaur which works fine with me. But, I don't know why there is limit to number of markers one can add in a WAV file. Current maximum limit is 250, whereas i am looking at 5000+.
In the current version, you can't extract information about markers directly. For that you need to go file properties and then export entire file information to text file OR copy paste the markers information.
It would be very helpful if we can export markers information directly in a text file. Current marker system shows wavosaur generated number which is not standard with time units. There should be some way to set the marker time unit like mili sec, sec, min and sec etc.

wow 5000+ makers! what kind of application needs this marker number?
In general I use 8,16 or 32 markers, but not more :) |

5000+ markers :)
I guess Ajay wants to extract automaticly many cuts of a big wav to bunch of small wavz... I wouldn't make it in this way :) |

I just hit the marker limit myself extracting small voice samples from one big sample. For the time being I can work around the issue but cutting the original file into smaller bit and process them individually. Would have like more markers, though.
250 markes seems like an arbitrary limit so maybe it could be configurable? |

Yes you are right Rex, 250 is a arbitrary limit.
I try to have a look on this point before next release. _________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
