I just installed Wavosaur for the first time and when I close the program a configuration setting file gets saved to my desktop and so does a cfg file.

When I installed the program I just opened the RAR file with Wavosaur in it and clicked on it and put it on my desktop, that was all I had to do right? Anyone know what could be causing it to save these files to my desktop?

Hello hazerfazer, welcome to the forum.

Wavosaur writes config files in the folder where "Wavosaur.exe" is copied.
You may create a "Wavosaur" folder and place the executable in it. Then create a shortcut on your desktop to access the executable.

The wavosaur.cfg & wavosaur.ini files are configuration files (txt files), they are created near the exe files so you know where to find them.

We think it's better to write these files here than "hiding" them somewhere in C:/Windows or C:/document & settings/your profile/folder you ll never find/

With this method Wavosaur does not have to write in the Windows registry, that's why it is portable.
