|
|
First of all, I love this program; it's simple and easy to use, and I've been happily using it for the past month.
I was wondering if there was a way to load multiple audio files and normalize them together in respect of one another. I have about 50 short spoken audio files and would like to balance them all together without actually joining them into one file.
If I balance them separately, then the files that are softer still stay somewhat softer, and vice versa for the louder files; that's why I want to be able to "mass-normalize" them so they fit volume level-wise like one continuous project.
Hope I'm making sense. |

you could try to use "compression / limiting" instead of normalization.
load a compressor/limiter plugin into the VST rack and then batch process. |

Alright, but to show my ignorance, where do I get the correct compressor/limiter plugin, then how do I load it into the VST rack and batch process? |

So the one I got working is the "Brickwall Limiter/Maximizer."
I ran it through on "VST Chain" in the batch conversion, and it definitely did something, but I'm not entirely sure what.
Do I essentially just choose what I want the "out ceiling" to be and that decides the volume level of all the files? Also, what's the difference between "aggressive" and "smooth"? |
