I would like to make a wave file using independent single samples, then develop a loop at a certain BMP. Is there a method or program that will show main and intermediary beats in a template for 84 BPM or 96 BPM etc?

If I chose a set of drum sounds that are just independent samples ie a kick that I like - is there a program that will allow me to form a complete measure of all the drum sounds that I want , in order to create a loop at any BPM.

I've done this w/midi by using a loop. But- but then transferring it to a different time base makes sync difficult. I am trying this demo called Algorhythmia by Zeta Centauri that may be the solution. Just wondering what sample buffs here might do.

typically sequencers are used to build loops. but you could use the grid option for the selection in wavosaur to see where to put transients in order to create a looped beat.

alternatively (or additionally) you should have a look at recycle.
to have loops play at different bpms without changing pitch and to warp loops to different time signatures you should have a look at ableton live.

thanks R.A.W.

good information. Too many toys - not enough time to learn them all.

Appreciate your input.
