Just downloaded Wavosaur to record occasional tracks from my fav blues radio station. But nothing seems to show up in the Oscilloscope. I have 2 audio in/out devices and it doesn't matter which one I use, still nothing.
What am I doing wrong/not doing? _________________ - Britman |

I have an oldish Sony PCV-450 running XP SP2. I'm using the builtin SiS 7018 driver v5.10.0.6160 (from 2002).
I have also tried it on my laptop which is a Toshiba Satellite, also running XP SP2. The audio is Realtek AC97 v. 5.10.0.5620.
In both cases nothing shows up on the Input Oscilloscope.
Any ideas?
Are other people recording streams successfully?
Thanks

My laptop (Acer) has Realtek onboard sound: I just need to go into Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices then locate the Realtek control panel (normally under the recording settings tab).
From there you should be able to select the source of recordings; usually it'll be set to mic and line in but there should be a 'main stereo bus' option or something... basically recording from that will record whatever you hear over the speakers.
Hope that helps but if not i'll have a proper look tonight when i'm by my laptop.
