Hello,

Want to auto trim in batches but don't understand what
auto trim at -50dB
auto trim at -InfdB
mean. Just want to trim dead air, if any. Am looking for a program to find that dead air for me and to trim as needed.

Have looked all over your website & googled as well & still can't find anything on it. You don't explain the different Functions in the Tutorial.

Many thanks.

Hello,

about the auto trim :
- for removing the "dead air", "silence"' at beginning and end of the file we have to know what is silence"
- you can define what you call silence by defining a threshold volume level: all sounds under this threshold will be considered as silence and be removed by the auto trim

-inf dB = -infinite decibel = "numeric silence"
-50 dB = very low volume

if your files has some noise (due to the noisefloor of the soundcard for example) or a DC offset, the -inf dB won't work.
