Hello, I appreciate Wavosaur a lot! I made some recordings and edited them without have to use other programs.
The only useful thing that I cannot find in Wavosaur is a click removal tool. It can be very useful: when you send a master to have cd's printed sometimes the printing houses send it back to you becouse they found some clicks that you could not hear or see.
I know that the click removal tool on Cool Edit (for example) can find and repair these almost invisible (inaudible?) clicks. So I could buy Adobe Audition, the new version of Cool Edit, but if Wavosaur could do the job...
Why not?
I know that Audacity has a click remover, but have never tried it. |

Hello bonaguri and welcome to the forum.
Yes why not ! It's just a question of development time. We worked on these types of algo, but for the moment all is not yet OK.
Then it's not possible to offer this feature for next release, but we are working on these subjects.
Just for my own information:

Really? Do you have an extract or audio file with this behavior?
You know that Wavosaur has statistics ('S' key) to see max sample value. Perhaps it could help. _________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sorry I haven't the "wrong" audio files because I had them corrected with the Cool Edit (or Adobe Audition) click removal tool, but if I remember correctly the software found hundreds of micro clicks on every single track of the cd!
It was surprising for me because I had not noticed them at all! Probably they were very little imperfections but after the correction the file was accepted and the cd has been released. |

Ok. It is the first time I hear this type of problems with audio CD production.
In general we keep a guard for sample max value to avoid clipping. It's something between -0.3 and -1dB. But for the peaks inside the wav I don't know this limitation.
is it your own production or a vinyl recording for example? _________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
