I'm very much a novice at audio editing, currently compiling some voice clips. When importing some files the 'sound waves' almost fill the channel views and playback is white noise. Have tried changing frequency and Bit per sample - which may well illustrate the fact I don't know what I'm doing!! I have tried searching for a solution - to no avail.
Reckon it's something obvious I've missed....can anyone help/

Hello,

If the files you want to import are uncompressed wav files, or mp3 files, or aiff, au, snd voc or voc you can use "load" instead of "import".

can you upload an example file you want to import ?
some formats are not handled yet (some ADPCM compression)

I've got a Soundman DR2 recorder/player and that device can record WAVs with a ADPCM compression that Wavosaur does not understand unfortunately. Is it possible to add this type of compression, what do you need for this?
