**
Hi, I've tested numerous things in the past (RME ASIO driver, MME onboard driver... 16 bit desktop, buffer size, different display drivers...) no effect. But I will do a systematic test again tomorrow to exclude a simple error. I will post the result here.

**
regarding windowssize: the bigger the window is, the bigger is the cpu load, but the problem is still there if I have a really really small window.

**
regarding the debug" version:
I would love to help you guys with debugging!

Good!

I wait your test result. We are analysing a debug strategy. I have a little idea where this problem comes from, but it's not a simple bug.

Just for info, where do you come from?

so, I've tested numberous things (different driver, resolution and so on) it's the same behaviour I described earlier.

If you reduce the wavosaur window size, do you decrease the CPU load?

yep, at fullscreen (one monitor) I get about 50% cpu load (looked up the task manager) and in a small window much less, although the flickering problem is the same.

Good luck for Euro final. Germany-Spain is a good final. Perhaps you don't like football, so forget this sentence.

Rex you prefered Russia-Turkey, no?? Very Happy

For our wavosaur point:

I'm working personally on this point. Just after the next release diffusion, we will analyse how to launch debug with "premium user" (volunteer).

yes, It was a good finial! Unfortunately germany lost.. but from a 'sportsmanlike' point of view (..and that's my point of view Wink) I've to say that spain deserve the win, they were a bit better then germany. Cool

I have just found Wavesaur and thought I wanted to report that I have noticed this problem as well. I am pretty sure it is due to the cursor updating constantly, even when the sample isn't playing (which is the problem). Due to the cpu lowering its clock to 600 MHz when idle (or near idle), the cpu usage used by Wavesaur does seem to be about 50%, sometimes triggering the cpu to full speed (2GHz). This has the side effect of causing the fan on the cpu to run most of the time.

Stopping the cursor update when the sample isn't playing could solve it.

wow! thank you so much... I just tested the new version, the problem is almost gone! bigrin

just reporting: I can still provoke the problem if I hold the mouse button (induce cpu load, and flickering).

We worked hard on the GUI and CPU usage. We are still working on these points.
