Wavosaur team members are happy to present you the first version of Streamosaur, a powerful free direct to disk recorder, to record your soundcard inputs (microphones, line in, ...) and to record your favorite online broadcasts like web radios, web streaming and so on.

You could download the complete version here:
www.wavosaur.com/streamosaur/

Streamosaur could directly flush mp3 file on your hard drive: for that download the lame encoder on this website for example here.

Streamosaur has not size limit for recording, record for hour and hours.

Note that Streamosaur (like Wavosaur is a donationware: thanks to support the future developments and bug corrections and so on, making a little donation with our paypal account, free and secure).

Have fun!

Wink I'm the first to tell you thank you very much for this useful tool ! I foresee to pass by your Paypal account but sorry , not really at the moment because i'm too " short" those last months . Anyway this is really useful . Better than Audacity , thanks to his easy to use interface .

Just a little thing to ask you ; what about the possibility to choose the soundcard to record ? For exemple , i have two soundcards . An Audigy LS soundblaster which is my main soundcard and a Toneport UX1 from Line6 to use with my guits . It would be great to play something ( my sequencer on my Soundblaster) and record my guits with the Toneport soundcard . .... i know , i can configure my sequencer for doing that but it's an simple idea ...just like that . Could it be possible ?

Best regards !

Philippe

[For the developers]
This is just a supportive thought. Take it or leave it.

Wondering if you've heard of Silent-Bob http://www.andymon.net/ ?

It prebuffers a minute or two of your source audio in order to capture and record that once-in-a-lifetime sound that just flew by; the one you wish you hadn't missed.

This could be a seriously helpful option to implement and seems (to me) to be a natural for you.

I could be wrong but, I think there are only a couple out there that do this. It could really make your effort stand out, not that your app isn't already of value.
