Hi!
Can you recommend me a method and/or nice VST plugins and effect to achieve an underwater/water sound : not a sound you hear from something in the water but the sound you hear when you are in the water ! i hope it's clear :)

I'm not very good at sound design, so if you know how to, or a plugins or presets for filter / reverb or other!

Thank you in advance!

Wink ... ok i've looked around my vstis and found one ! Try to play in low notes with vstis from H.G .Fortune ; for example Shuniji ( there is a free version ) .

http://www.hgf-synthesizer.de/ maybe you'll have to search in hgf history

I've found an interesting sound in playing with the preset " sables emouvants " ( adding "flowater" oscillator wave ), but i don't know if shuniji is still on service .

You can try STS 26 free or STS 17 free , this last one has also a preset " ocean dreams " . But again you will have to play with the knobs .

Wink Me again ! I've tried to put some effects to these sounds like a variable filter with a preset ( from my sequencer Orion 7.5 effects folder ) and the GTG filter pan put on low pass with some moves on the knob .

http://www.4shared.com/file/60471716/f3aff060/underwaterZ_for_Poivre.html

First > STS 17 without effect just modified preset ( ocean dreams )
Second > Shuniji without effect just modified preset ( sables emouvants )
Third > STS 17 with Orion variable filter , moving notch preset
Fourth > Shuniji with GTG filter pan effect on low pass + some moves on the knob .

Hope you'll understand my limited English ! Wink

Thank you tubular !! extra nice demo, the first sound from 0" to 8" really spot it, underwater world Very Happy Very Happy

I had to make a google search for the Shuniji , http://www.hgf-synthesizer.de/se/shuniji/shuniji.html , i knew some of the HG Fortune stuff, always top notch quality!

I wonder if i could achieve a kind of "morphing" with other sounds, to give this under water effect to any sound, maybe with a vocoder ?

Anyway, thanks a lot ! these VSTi are incredibles

Wink Are you French ? Laughing If you need i can send you a PM and we 'll talk about this . Shuniji free is ... free ; so maybe , in terms of copyright , i could give to you the dll .

Vocov is an easy to use vocoder .

http://www.g200kg.com/en/software/vocov.html

EDIT

The first 8 seconds you've listened to are not from the real preset , i've changed it a little bit .... Laughing but of course , i've saved the UnderwaterZ for Poivre project into my sequencer so i also can give to you the settings . Wink
