|
|
I am using the following equipment:
Sony VAIO Laptop
Windows XP
Wavosaur 1.0.5
Audiotechnica USB Condenser Cardoid Microphone x2
Is it possible to record audio from both microphones simultaneously, either on seperate tracks or the same track?
Is it possible to to so in stereo?
Thank you! |

Hello,
In the Audio Configuration windows you can only select one input, so it depends on your soundcard, or your equipment.
It seems to work well with a RME 9632, using the "matrix" thing
what soundcard do you use for recording ? |

I am using USB Condenser microphones, thus my understanding is that this bypasses the computer's sound card. Is this not so?
Looking in the device manager, it appears my soundcard is "SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC" |

A codec is a driver, not a soundcard _________________ 0.618033988 |

In a way, yes. Or put the other way around, that mic has in itself an audio interface which connects to the computer via USB. Now, if you have two of those, I would reckon each one shows up as a separate digital stream inside the computer. Since Wavosaur can only recognize one source at the time (?), I would imagine you cannot record both at the same time. |
