Hi all,
Is there a filter built into wavosaur to remove low bass frequency from music? I am trying to make some ringtones and i think that the low bass in the songs I am trying to convert is making my phone distort. I'd like to remove 100hz or less or at least I will start there until i see how it sounds if it is possible to do with this program. If it is not, could someone point me in the right direction.
Thanks a lot,
Happy Holidays,

hello swamibob
For this kind of work the berst to do is to use the VST rack with some EQ or filter plugins.
So you'll be able to tweak your eq in real time and listen to the effect while the sound plays.
1 - download some EQ plugins, a good start to fond free and excellent effect is here : http://www.wavosaur.com/vst/eq-plugins.php
2 - copy the .dll files in your VST folder (or anywhere you want)
3 - in Wavosaur open the VST rack window, choose "load VST" and load the EQ effect. more explanation here : http://www.wavosaur.com/tutorials/how-to-use-VST.php or http://www.wavosaur.com/tutorials/how-to-use-VST-flash.php
You can try the Chebyshev filter from the Effects->Filter menu, but it won't works for real time listening and is applied to all the file (even if there's a selection) |

Hi Rex,
do you or anybody else knew the parameters for the Chebyshev filter?
Frequenzy - is the cutting frquence
pole - no idea
ripple - no idea
low/hi--pass - self explaining.
I just want to set a 45 hz hipass filter . I could do that in audacity, but i want to do it in one programm in fear of loosing accuracy.
Have a nice day
