Is there a way to take a .wav and record it with the changes you make with effects as you do it (turn knobs, etc.)? I guess automation might be a word for it. Basically I want to manipulate a .wav and have the new .wav come out like I was tweaking it. Hope this makes sense.

That would require a VST automation, it's not implemented yet.

For the moment you can try to record the output of Wavosaur while you tweaking, a pure "live recording":

- I don't know your system, with my soundcard it's easy to record (with Wavosaur) the output of Wavosaur

- Maybe you'll have to use another software for the recording or a VST recorder in the chain, that stream the live sound to your disk in a .wav file.
