i get the Error message: "Unable to load file" when i try to read in a ".WAV" file into Wavosaur 1.0.4. Any ideas why??
it plays fine in vlc, sMplayer, Foobar2000, & Windows media player.
it is made from the voice recoder on my cheap Emerson MP3 player. (Vista64)
How can i obtain more error info? (this pc is *NOT* CONNECTED TO INTERNET & never will be) Thank you.... |

this wav is surely not a PCM but a compressed wav with a method not supported by Wavosaur.
or mp3 compressed, the wav that contains mp3 compressed data can be loaded in Wavosaur (if you rename the file to .mp3) |

U are correct. It's probably a wave that wavosaur can not handle.
however just for info purposes (& possibly the future) here is what i found out about the file:
the first several characters in the file header are: RIFF4:..WAVEfmt
From SMPlayer info:
Format=17
Bitrate=32 kbps
Rate=8000 Hz
Selected codec=imaadpcm |
